When we first started feeding the poor in 1995, we had no idea that within a few years we would be giving away over 1 Million pounds of food annually. For more then 12 years, Open Door Ministries has been providing food, clothing and emergency assistance to anyone who needs it. The majority of people we serve are not those who live on the street but rather what we call the "working poor." Individuals who have a source of income but after paying rent, gas and utilties are unable to feed their family. Our bi-weekly food outreach provides quality food, professional haircuts, excellent used clothing and the love of Jesus Christ to about 65 families. In addition to providing assistance to our community, ODM also assists over 40 like hearted ministries in and around the Johnson County Area.
We give over 10,000 1bs of food away every other week!
Sign ups for food start at 9:30am at the Food Bank Warehouse with a short service following.

Professional Stylists volunteer their time to help.We give out approximately 12,000 to 15,000 1bs of food every other week at our Food Bank Warehouse.This is just one of the many beautiful families we have the privilege of serving in our community.We give out only the best quality groceries. We give out the same quality food we ourselves use. Signage attests to the community "This is a storehouse of hope!" Various individuals and companies are also listed as regular sponsors.Many of the recepients are children. We are so blessed to touch the lives of these little ones who are "precious in His sight."Amazingly everything that is done is by a handful of volunteers. All feel honored to server their fellow man.Pastor Andy Dally heads up the Johnson Food Bank Warehouse and is seen here unloading donations rec'd. Open Door Ministries started providng food to just a few families. It has grown to over 350 families & 40+ ministries. With the ever growing need of local communities, we are now known as the "Johnson County Food Bank"Hope is contagious and generational. By ministering to the parents we fill them and their precious child with hope not only now but for the future that things will not always be the same as they are now.

Our Annual FALL FEST Returns on Oct 31st and will be held again at Open Door Ministries.

There will be carnaval booths, live music, snow cones, hot food, face painting, prizes and more candy then your Dentist will allow!
